Love it, Emily. Encore!!!! I'm rather old, so a little stuck in the past when it comes to earworms and songs that stay in your head for a while. But a tune that keeps coming back to me is the Rolling Stones "It's only rock and roll" which seems to me to be about performance, as well as a compulsive rhythm. The Stones and I are perpetually in a love/hate relationship, not sure I would ever like to meet any of them, but so much of their music (despite their regular lapses into crude masculine sexism that makes me wince) remains fascinating to me. Or there is "Adventure Rocket Ship" by Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3, just for absurd joy-de-vivre!
Ooh thanks Roger. I was brought up firmly on a diet of Bob Dylan and the like, so only came to the Stones when I got to uni and lived with a music loving flatmate. Going to stick these songs you mentioned on my playlist and maybe give them a go.

It's just a tiny snippet of a song I definitely know but not even enough for Shazam, but it won't leave my brain. It's like a little Tom Waits ditty but not that. I'll have to look through what I've been listening to recently and see if it rings a bell. thanks for your post.
Yes Dan mentioned the keyboard last time I saw him, I’m not desperate for it but if you need it off your hands I’ll pick it up, I enjoyed performing this song, not an easy one to come to grips with at first,
